Light Me Up
The Avengers AU, in which Phil is still alive (I wanted some happy times XD). Loki hurt him bad but they managed to patch him up and he is fine.
Except that Clint isn’t because sometimes when he dreams, Loki appears in those dreams, bringing back memories Clint whishes he could erase.
Because when Loki stabbed his boyfriend, Clint was still ‘connected’ to him and the god of mischief showed him everything and the memory still haunts him, months after the failed invasion.
And so he wakes up, afraid and trembling, his hand searching for Phil in the bed until his fingers brush the man skin. And then a feeling of relief course through him. He is here, he is alive.
But it’s not enough and Phil, who woke up at the touch, knows it. Even if Clint will never tell him, Phil can read him like an open book. So Phil talks to him, he tells his archer that they are safe, that Loki will not find them here. He tells him that he is not alone, that he’ll never be.
He tells him he loves him more than anything, whispering those words before kissing him softly.
In the morning they will not talk about it, resuming to their usual routine. But Clint will find comfort, knowing he is not alone, and that he is loved.
And that’s all that matters…
